Eileen Brennan passed away on Sunday after battling bladder cancer. She was 80 years-old.
Brennan was a beloved actress, who went from musical comedy on Broadway to bringing memorable characters to life on screen – “Private Benjamin” and of course Mrs. Peacock in “Clue.”
Brennan was nominated for an Oscar, won an Emmy and a Golden Globe throughout her career.
“Our family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and respect for Eileen,” her family said in a statement. “She was funny and caring and truly one of a kind. Her strength and love will never be forgotten.”
