ESPN2 to Televise “Baseball Tonight Hall of Fame Special”

ESPN2 will televise the Baseball Tonight Hall of Fame Special on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 3 p.m. ET, following the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA)’s 2013 Baseball Hall of Fame election announcement. The special program will be hosted by Karl Ravech with 2012 Hall of Fame inductee and Baseball Tonight analyst Barry Larkin, new Sunday Night Baseball analyst John Kruk, ESPN MLB Insiders Buster Olney, Tim Kurkjian and Pedro Gomez and ESPN senior writer Howard Bryant.

During the program, Kurkjian will also voice an essay entitled, “Is the Baseball Hall of Fame Forever Changed,” which will examine the evolution of baseball’s prestigious institution.

Baseball Tonight will also produce a live segment for ESPN.com at 2:30 p.m. Additionally, ESPN.com will host a live chat with ESPN’s Hall of Fame voters, including Jayson Stark, Jerry Crasnick and Jim Caple at 1:30 p.m. A full list of ESPN’s Hall of Fame voter ballots will be available on ESPN.com.
