The Rose Parade Airs New Year’s Day

On January 1st, 2013, as New York will be sweeping up the confetti and party hats scattered throughout Times Square, Los Angeles will be gearing up for our very own New Year’s custom: The Rose Parade starting at 8:00am (PST). Tomorrow morning the streets of Pasadena will be taken over by the celebration, and viewers across America will be tuning in to watch as the giant floats (made entirely out of flowers and other natural materials) march down Old Town. Lasting for two hours, the Rose Parade symbolizes the beginning of a new year and a return to tradition for Southern California.

The live broadcast will be carried by: ABC, NBC, Univision, Tribune (KTLA), Hallmark Channel, HGTV, RFD-TV and Sky Link TV. Following the parade, The Rose Bowl game will commence, featuring the Wisconsin and the Stanford Cardinals and airing on ESPN.
