The 8th Annual Daytime Beauty Awards (DBA), founded by Michele Elyzabeth, celebrated the best in science behind beauty, health and wellness on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 at the Grand Venue. The award ceremony luncheon recognizes excellence in medicine, health and fitness, aesthetics, skincare, color and styling, CBD and cannabis, beauty innovation, and more.
Actor Brian Austin Green presented Outstanding Achievement in Health to Kara Mayer Robinson, MA, LMHC, LPCC. He placed the spotlight on the importance of mental health and Kara’s work as a licensed therapist, mental health advocate, television and film consultant, and host of the acclaimed podcast Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson.

“I am living proof that opening up can lift a tremendous weight off your shoulders. Hundreds have trusted Kara Mayer Robinson with their stories, their struggles, and their truth. I am one of them,” Brian said before bringing Kara on stage.
Kara is a licensed therapist, mental health advocate, television and film consultant, and host of the acclaimed podcast Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson. After earning her graduate degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University, Mayer Robinson built a successful therapy practice while contributing to leading publications, including The New York Times. Her approach to authentic conversation led to the creation of Really Famous, where she conducts thoughtful, in-depth interviews that reveal the human stories behind public figures. Today, Mayer Robinson continues to combine her expertise as a therapist and interviewer to promote emotional well-being, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, and encourage meaningful dialogue. Through her lifelong commitment to helping others, she has become a respected voice in mental health advocacy.
