The 8th Annual Daytime Beauty Awards (DBA) proudly announces Amanda Kloots as the recipient of Outstanding Achievement in Fitness.
The Daytime Beauty Awards will take place on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, at The Grand Venue in Los Angeles. The award ceremony luncheon celebrates the science behind beauty, health, and wellness by recognizing excellence in medicine, health and fitness, aesthetics, skincare, color and styling, CBD and cannabis, beauty innovation, and more.
Amanda Kloots is a two-time Emmy-nominated television host, New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, actress, producer, and wellness expert whose career is rooted in the transformative power of movement. A former Broadway dancer and Radio City Rockette, Amanda spent more than a decade on stage in productions including 42nd Street, Follies, Young Frankenstein and Bullets Over Broadway before turning her passion for fitness into a platform for inspiring others.
In 2016, she created AK! Rope and went on to build AK! Fitness, developing workouts including AK! Baby Bump and the AK! Two Minute Workout around her philosophy that movement should be joyful, accessible, and empowering. Today, she continues to expand her approach to wellness as founder of Proper Health, focused on convenient, nutrient-dense solutions that support everyday health.
Amanda’s story of strength took on profound new meaning following the loss of her husband, Broadway actor Nick Cordero, from COVID-19 complications in 2020. She shared their story in her New York Times bestselling memoir, Live Your Life, and continues to explore loss, healing, resilience, and human connection through her new Dear Media podcast, Good Grief with Amanda Kloots.
Widely recognized as a former co-host of CBS’s The Talk, Amanda has also competed on Dancing With the Stars and expanded her work across television, fitness, publishing, podcasting, and wellness. Accomplished actress, businesswoman, philanthropist, and devoted animal advocate Denise Richards will serve as the 2026 Daytime Beauty Awards Ambassador.
Over the years, the Daytime Beauty Awards have honored notable figures including Cindy Crawford, Gabrielle Union, Christie Brinkley, Tommy Chong, and Holly Robinson Peete. Presenters have included Jennifer Lopez, Jay Leno, Melissa McCarthy, Tina Knowles, and Sia, all joining the DBAs in celebrating the innovators and visionaries behind beauty and wellness.
Each year, the Daytime Beauty Awards donates a portion of its proceeds to an animal-focused nonprofit organization. This year’s event will benefit the Los Angeles Mounted Police Foundation, supporting one of the last Mounted Platoons in the nation and its equine officers. The Foundation supports outreach initiatives, including programs serving veterans and the Mini Mounties youth program. Dedicated to public safety, community engagement, and the care of their equine partners, the Mounted Platoon exemplifies the extraordinary bond between humans and animals.
