The Dallas Cowboys will return to Oxnard, California this summer for their 20th training camp season, marking more than two decades as the summer home of America’s Team.
From July 29 through August 18, 2026, the Cowboys will take the field at River Ridge Playing Fields, continuing a tradition that has grown beyond preseason preparation into a multigenerational event that brings fans, families and the community together on the California Coast.
“Twenty years of Cowboys Camp in Oxnard represents a legacy built through partnership and a shared commitment to creating an exceptional fan experience,” said Brittney Hendricks, President & CEO of Visit Oxnard. “Each summer, fans have the opportunity to connect with their favorite team while experiencing everything that makes Oxnard special – from our beaches and coastal lifestyle to the welcoming spirit of our residents. This tradition has become part of the fabric of our community, and we’re proud to welcome generations of Cowboys fans back to Oxnard every summer.”
The Cowboys first trained in Oxnard in 1985 and have returned regularly ever since, making 2026 their 20th training camp season in the city. While many professional football teams have moved training camps closer to their year-round facilities, the Cowboys have continued to choose Oxnard year after year. Now secured through 2030, the partnership remains one of the longest-running destination relationships in the NFL, underscoring Oxnard’s enduring role in the Cowboys’ annual training camp experience.
Over the years, the partnership between the Dallas Cowboys and Visit Oxnard has evolved into a genuine community exchange that extends well beyond the practice field. From youth-focused experiences like the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Dance Clinic and the new Dallas Cowboys NFL FLAG Training Camp, which provides free football instruction, character-building activities and skills development, to the thousands of residents and visitors who attend open practices each summer, the relationship reflects how Oxnard’s spirit and hospitality have become part of the Cowboys’ training camp tradition. Together, these programs create meaningful opportunities for local families and young athletes to connect with the Cowboys.
