Ocean Way Festival comes to Santa Monica with Olivia Dean and more

Goldenvoice has announced Ocean Way Festival, a new two day music festival set to take place September 26 and 27, 2026, on the beach in Santa Monica. As the first major music festival ever held on Santa Monica Beach, Ocean Way Festival will bring live music back to one of California’s most iconic coastlines while celebrating music, food, wellness, design, sustainability, and beach culture.

The inaugural lineup will feature headliners The Killers and Olivia Dean, joined by Jack White, Khruangbin, Sublime, Durand Jones and The Indications, Alvvays, SG Lewis, 54 Ultra, Hiatus Kaiyote, BLOND:ISH, Poolside, Hot Chip DJs, and more performing across two nights. Framed by the Santa Monica Pier, the festival’s main stage will overlook the Pacific as audiences experience rock, soul, indie, house, and more across two stages in an all ages day into night event on the sand.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, July 23, at 11 a.m. PT. A presale exclusively for Santa Monica residents will begin on Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. PT.

The complete lineup in alphabetical order includes 54 Ultra, Alvvays, Austin Millz, BLOND:ISH, Carlita, Coco and Breezy, DJ Harvey, Durand Jones and The Indications, EREZ, Good Neighbours, Heidi Lawden, Hiatus Kaiyote, Hot Chip DJ set, Jack White, Khruangbin, Nala, Olivia Dean, Poolside DJ set, SG Lewis, Sublime, The Killers, and Vandelux DJ set.

Created specifically for Santa Monica, Ocean Way Festival is produced by Goldenvoice with support from the City of Santa Monica and draws inspiration from the city’s longstanding musical heritage. The festival takes its name from Ocean Way, the Santa Monica street where Allen Sides founded the legendary Ocean Way Recording studios more than four decades ago. For Goldenvoice, whose early reputation was built on producing landmark concerts at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium just blocks from the festival site, Ocean Way Festival represents both a homecoming and a debut.

Festival grounds will stretch across the beach between the Santa Monica Pier and Bay Street, featuring a main stage with five acts each day, a second stage designed for a more intimate experience, and thoughtfully created gathering spaces. The layout blends standing room with open blanket areas, reflecting the relaxed atmosphere of spending a day at the beach.

Ocean Way Festival will also introduce the Proper Beach Club, a beachfront hospitality experience created in partnership with Proper Hotels. The experience will feature a premiere lounge designed by Kelly Wearstler Studio, bringing elevated service and creative culture directly to the sand.

Goldenvoice was selected through a competitive process by the City of Santa Monica to develop Ocean Way Festival as part of the city’s more than $60 million Realignment Plan, a broad civic investment focused on public safety, business growth, and cultural vitality. The festival will serve as the cultural anchor of The Sandbox on the Beach, Santa Monica’s new beachfront district for major civic events and public gatherings, joining FIFA World Cup 2026, Super Bowl LXI, and the LA28 Olympics and Paralympics activations.

Designed from the ground up as a sustainable, transit first festival experience, Ocean Way Festival will not offer on site parking. Instead, attendees are encouraged to take advantage of public transportation, with the LA Metro E Line ending just steps from the festival entrance. Big Blue Bus service, shuttle transportation, bike valet, and micro mobility options will also be available.

Leading up to the festival, Ocean Way Festival will host a series of free community events and activities throughout Santa Monica, including free concerts, beach cleanups, leadership programs for local high school and college students, youth surf and water safety programming, and partnerships with local businesses.

Tickets will be available as either single day passes for Saturday or Sunday or as two day passes.

The two day General Admission pass starts at $399 and includes access to all General Admission areas, both stages, shaded and seating areas, and food and beverage vendors throughout the festival grounds.

The two day Premium Pit pass starts at $749 and includes all General Admission benefits, plus access to the Premium Pit at the main stage, a dedicated bar, flushable restrooms, and an elevated viewing deck.
