The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Kagurabachi, based on one of Weekly Shonen Jump’s next generation flagship titles, is preparing to make its global debut with the launch of Part 1 of the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour beginning in July 2026. The international event will feature world premiere screenings at four major anime conventions across the globe, giving fans an exclusive first look at the series ahead of its official broadcast.
Created by Takeru Hokazono, Kagurabachi is currently serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has surpassed a cumulative circulation of 4 million copies as of May 1. The manga’s rapid rise in popularity has established it as one of the most closely watched titles in the industry, paving the way for a highly anticipated anime adaptation.
A distinguished creative team has been assembled for the project. Animation production will be handled by Cypic, the CyberAgent group animation studio known for Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died. The anime also features an acclaimed staff lineup led by director Tetsuya Takeuchi, whose previous credits include Action Animation Director on Sword Art Online II as well as Battle Scene Storyboards, Episode Director, and Animation Director on Heavenly Delusion.
Character design duties are being handled by Keigo Sasaki, recognized for his work on Blue Exorcist and The Seven Deadly Sins. Bringing the story’s protagonist, Chihiro Rokuhira, to life is Taihi Kimura, winner of the Best New Actor award at the 2025 Seiyu Awards.
Ahead of the anime’s official broadcast in April 2027, the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour will present exclusive preview screenings featuring the first 20 minutes of Episode 1. Screenings are scheduled to take place at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Anime NYC in New York, Japan Expo Paris in Paris, and AnimagiC in Mannheim.
In addition to the screenings, select events will host special panel sessions featuring Taihi Kimura, the voice of Chihiro Rokuhira, along with the editor and cross media producer of the Kagurabachi manga and producers from the Kagurabachi anime team.
The panels will offer fans an in depth look behind the scenes of the production process while highlighting the passion and dedication driving the adaptation. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the creative minds shaping the series as they discuss the journey of bringing Kagurabachi from page to screen.
With its world premiere tour set to introduce audiences to the opening chapter of the story, fans around the globe are invited to witness the beginning of a new era as the first stroke of this epic saga is set into motion.
