Things just got even juicier in the world of The Hunting Wives. Today, Netflix, Lionsgate, and 3Arts Entertainment revealed two new recurring guest stars joining the hit thriller’s second season — and trust us, the drama potential is high.
Kim Matula (Saturday Night, LA to Vegas) steps into the role of Nadia Kelly, while Alex FitzAlan (The Wilds, Chevalier) takes on Lincoln Trout. The pair joins a packed returning cast led by Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez, Hunter Emery, and Branton Box. And yes — more names are still to come.
Season 2 is already filming in the U.S. and will debut worldwide as a Netflix-branded series, landing in nearly every country where Netflix streams. Not bad for a series that originally premiered only in the U.S. Yet Season 1 still managed to soar into the global English Top 10 for five straight weeks and rack up more than 20 million views.
Created by Rebecca Cutter and based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel, The Hunting Wives continues to explore the intoxicating and dangerous world of friendship, obsession, and power. Cutter — who also serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer — returns alongside EPs Erwin Stoff (3 Arts Entertainment) and Cobb.
What’s ahead in Season 2?
The new logline teases trouble from the jump: Sophie and Margo are no longer on speaking terms… but old secrets and new enemies have a way of forcing frenemies back together. As the stakes rise, one question lingers: Are they the hunters — or the hunted?
Season 2 will consist of eight episodes, all produced by Lionsgate.
More casting updates are on the horizon. In the meantime, fans can sharpen their aim — the games in West Texas are about to get even deadlier.
