The Daytime Beauty Awards (DBAs) are bringing back one of their most beloved categories: Outstanding Achievement in Nail Artistry. For the first time since the show’s inaugural year in 2018, the award returns to honor the artistry, science, and innovation behind one of beauty’s most precise crafts.
The DBAs proudly announce Tom Bachik as the 2025 honoree. Recognized as one of the most sought-after—and arguably the world’s most renowned—celebrity nail artist, Bachik has elevated nail styling to an international art form.
A former graphic designer turned nail visionary, Bachik has spent three decades fusing product formulation and nail biology with cutting-edge design. His work has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Billboard, Allure, and Rolling Stone, while his campaigns include Gucci, Chanel, Versace, Guess, Coach, and Armani. From subtle sophistication to bold, avant-garde statements, his artistry has defined red carpets, film premieres, the MET Gala, the Academy Awards, and the Grammys.
His celebrity roster includes Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld, Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, Anne Hathaway, and Heidi Klum. Beyond his exceptional styling, Bachik has been a driving force in innovation – partnering with leading brands such as Chanel, Essie, Tweezerman, Apres, and L’Oréal, launching product collaborations with Click Colors, while sharing his expertise globally as a platform artist, trainer, and speaker.
“Bringing back this award feels long overdue,” said DBA Founder Michele Elyzabeth. “Nail artistry represents both chemistry and creativity, and Tom Bachik has elevated it to a level that influences fashion, beauty, and culture on a global scale,” she added.
The category was last awarded in 2018, when celebrity nail artist Yoko Sakakura received the honor, presented by actress Meagan Tandy and Nails Magazine executive editor Beth Livesay. Its return this year highlights the DBAs’ mission to celebrate beauty not only as glamour, but as science, artistry, and innovation.
