‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ Returns for Season 2 on September 12

Get ready to head back to Waverly Place! Season 2 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the hit continuation of the beloved Wizards of Waverly Place series, premieres Friday, September 12 with two back-to-back episodes on Disney Channel at 7:00 p.m. EDT/PDT and Disney Channel On Demand. Fans can binge the full season when it drops on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Wednesday, October 8.

Executive producer Selena Gomez, who originated the role of Alex Russo, will return this season in a special guest-starring role. She joins an exciting slate of guest stars including Freya Skye (ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Kirsten Vangsness (Criminal Minds), Recker Eans, Tobias Jelinek, Patrick Bristow, and Eleanor Sweeney.

In a nostalgic twist, original series fan favorites Mr. Laritate (Bill Chott) and Mantooth (Sean Whalen) are set to return, alongside Amanda Tepe, who will make a special appearance in the show’s Christmas episode.

Season 2 Synopsis:
The magic and mischief continue as Billie, played by Janice LeAnn Brown, realizes that life in the Russo household is more complicated than she expected—especially now that she’s not the only young wizard in the house. With Roman and Milo developing powers of their own, Justin (David Henrie) must take on the challenge of training all three for the Family Wizard Competition. But as tensions rise and magic stirs, a mysterious new threat could jeopardize the future of the Russo family forever.
