Madelyn Cline Steps Into Romance in The Map That Leads to You

Madelyn Cline is taking a detour from the shores of Outer Banks and heading across Europe in The Map That Leads to You, an upcoming romantic drama from Amazon MGM Studios, premiering globally on Prime Video August 20.

In the film adaptation of J.P. Monninger’s bestselling novel, Cline stars as Heather—a recent college graduate embarking on a whirlwind European adventure with her closest friends before stepping into the next chapter of her meticulously planned life. That plan takes an unexpected turn when she meets Jack, played by Riverdale star KJ Apa. He’s charming, mysterious, and everything Heather didn’t know she was searching for.

Their electric connection sets off an emotional journey full of passion, secrets, and self-discovery. What starts as a chance encounter soon evolves into a life-changing experience that forces Heather to question everything she thought she wanted.

Directed by Lasse Hallström (Dear John, Safe Haven), the film also stars Josh Lucas, Madison Thompson, Sofia Wylie, and Orlando Norman. With a screenplay by Vera Herbert and Les Bohem, the 96-minute drama is rated PG-13 and promises a mix of heartache, wanderlust, and the courage to follow your own path—even if it leads you away from the one you thought you were on.

Check out the first look images and official teaser art now—featuring sun-soaked streets, intimate glances, and the kind of romantic tension that makes a late-summer debut feel just right.

The Map That Leads to You streams exclusively on Prime Video starting August 20.
