Spring, summer, fall, and even winter, I find relaxation in my garden. This is the place where I can forget everything and simply concentrate on the beauty of nature. My grandfather used to take great pride in growing all sorts of fruits and vegetables in his garden. You could find him there every late afternoon after returning from work. Often, my mother would join him, learning about the joy of growing.
He communicated his passion to my mother, who could cultivate the most amazing flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. She would spend hours tending to her garden. I was a teenager then; I must admit that I thought it was a lot of wasted time when you could simply go to the grocery store and buy what you needed there!
