The Steve Wilkos Show has officially been renewed for its 19th season, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios announced today.
The Steve Wilkos Show launched in 2007 as a spin-off of the wildly popular Jerry Springer Show, where Steve Wilkos had worked as the longtime on-air security director. Known for his towering presence and no-nonsense demeanor, Wilkos became a fan favorite during his time on Springer, breaking up on-stage fights and occasionally offering his own commentary. His popularity with audiences led NBCUniversal to give him his own talk show.
Hosted by former Chicago police officer and U.S. Marine Steve Wilkos, the show has become synonymous with raw honesty, high-stakes confrontations, and unwavering efforts to uncover the truth. Over nearly two decades, Wilkos has established himself as a trusted figure in daytime TV, known for tackling emotionally charged issues ranging from relationship betrayals to family drama and true crime.
“Steve Wilkos has built a reputation as one of daytime TV’s most trusted talk show hosts over the past 18 seasons,” said Tracie Wilson, Executive Vice President of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios & E! News. “His authenticity and sincere commitment to finding the truth for his guests are what drive the show’s continued success. We’re excited for another season of outstanding episodes from Steve and his incredibly talented team.”
Currently in its 18th season, The Steve Wilkos Show draws a loyal audience of 664,000 viewers and continues to deliver strong ratings for its station partners. The show sees significant growth over its lead-ins, increasing viewership among women 25-54 by +35% and adults 25-54 by +30%—a standout among first-run syndicated programming.
The series consistently ranks as a top performer in key markets, earning #1 or #2 slots in the A25-54 demographic in cities like Houston (KIAH), Atlanta (WATL), Phoenix (KAZT), Orlando (WKCF), and St. Louis (KPLR). It is currently airing in 87% of the country, carried by top station groups including Nexstar, Sinclair, Hearst, Scripps, and Tegna.
“I love hosting the show and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to make a difference in our guests’ lives,” said Steve Wilkos.
