A New Year's celebration at an Istanbul nightclub turned horrific after a shooter opened fire killing at least 39 people and leaving over 70 hospitalized.
No one has claimed the attack as of New Year's day. A manhunt is now underway for the attacker who was reportedly wearing a Santa suit.
Turkey's Prime Minister, Binali Yildirim said, "There is strong coordination and we will find him, no delay."
"We are face to face with a terror attack," Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu told reporters Sunday morning.
Local media is reporting that there were possibly multiple shooters.
