Pour A Glass & Tune In To ‘Nectar of the Dogs Wine’ Time

Nectar of the Dogs Wine (NOTDW) invites wine and dog lovers everywhere to tune into "Wine Time with NOTDW," a new weekly series featuring the Nectar of the Dogs Wine team.

Learn more about the company's story and mission to help support dog rescues while the team introduces a different varietal every week. Each session will be dedicated to a local dog rescue group allowing these hardworking organizations to share their mission and educate audiences about how they can help in these challenging times.

All "Wine Time with NOTDW" episodes will be held live at 5 p.m. every Friday starting April 3 on the Nectar of the Dogs Wine Facebook page.

Nectar of the Dogs Wine is also debuting virtual wine tasting sessions to those interested in a more interactive and private introduction to its wines and story. Co-founder Melanie Garibay will join guests to talk about the wines and the NOTDW mission to support dog rescue organizations. Scheduled pick up is available at its Simi Valley or Granada Hills warehouse locations, limited free local delivery in the LA and Ventura areas is also being offered. "Wine Time with NOTDW" April Schedule –

  • Friday, April 3 | 5 pm: Featuring special guest, Geraldine Gilliland, founder of Chiquita's Friends. Learn about NOTDW and the mission of Chiquita's Friends to rescue, care for and place dogs into loving homes. Wine of the day is 3 Dogs White – a blend of estate grown Santa Barbara Viognier, Gewurztraminer, with just a kiss of late harvest Muscat Canelli, brings bright fruit and crisp acidity to the palate. A portion of wine sales from April 3 to April 9 will benefit Chiquita's Friends.
  • Friday, April 10 | 5 pm: spcaLA will join to talk about the programs and work being done to prevent animal cruelty. Wine of the day is Rosé – the 2016 Rosé of Malbec made from 100% Malbec grapes, barely kissed by the skins, bringing aromas of spring blossoms and fruit; and the 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir – sustainably farmed and hand harvested from premium estate vineyards in Santa Barbara County. It is semi-dry, light bodied and crisp, with notes of strawberry and citrus blossoms. A portion of wine sales from April 10 to April 16 will benefit spcaLA.
  • Friday, April 17 | 5 pm: Featured guest is Christine Downs from Bark Party who will talk about their commitment to saving shelter pets from high-kill animal shelters. Wine of the day is the 2015 Chardonnay – grown from a single vineyard in Lodi, this un-oaked Chardonnay is fresh and lively with aromas of green apple and pear, leaving a splash of honeysuckle on the palate with a creamy vanilla finish. A portion of wine sales from April 17 to April 23 will benefit Bark Party.
  • Friday, April 24 | 5 pm: Marina Russo, founder of Love at First Mutt joins to talk about her passion for saving animals and how others can help foster dogs ready for adoption. Wine of the Day is bold red blend, CCF MikMurphy – from the esteemed Estrella and Templeton Gap districts of Paso Robles, this blend is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. It was aged in 100% French Oak from 18-27 months. It has a beautiful mouthfeel and lush aromas of berries and smoke. A portion of wine sales from April 24 to April 30 will benefit Love at First Mutt.
