Get Gum Out Of Your Dog's Paw

how to get gum out of a dog's paw

As dog parents or parents of any furry animal for that matter, we have to be prepared for anything and everything. Luckily, there’s google for many at-home remedies and ‘how to’ lists. Therefore, if google brought you here, then that must mean there’s some gum stuck in your dog or cat’s paw! Here’s what you need to do…

#1) Don’t panic!

#2) If your dog is constantly licking their paw, take a moment and examine the paw. See if there’s is a foreign object stuck in the paw.

#3) If you find gum, grab the following:

– Peanut Butter, Sunflower Butter, (any peanut butter alternative)

– 1 spoon

– A pair of small scissors

#4) Use the scissors to carefully cut the bits of gum around that you can reach without cutting your dog’s paw.

#5) Take a tablespoon of the peanut butter (I prefer Sunflower Butter) and dab it on the paw. Rub it in.

#6) Continue to rub with your fingers in and around the paw. You will notice the gum start to separate and come a part. Add more peanut butter as needed.

#7) Once most of the gum has come off, clean your dog’s paw with warm water.

#8) Tada! A clean gum-free paw!how to get gum out of a dog's paw
