Weinstein & Jon Bon Jovi Join Forces For New Reality Series

If I Wasn't A Rock Star

TWC-Dimension announced today that they are joining forces with Prototype Entertainment and 3 Ball Entertainment to develop and produce the new reality series If I Wasn’t a Rock StarThe show will feature some of music’s biggest and brightest stars who leave behind their entourage of assistants, trade their luxury tour buses for family sedans, and say goodbye to their 10-page backstage riders…. Instead, they’ll travel to their hometowns to meet their “civilian alter egos” and experience the lives they may have led if they hadn’t pursed their careers in music.

TWC-Dimension Co-Chairman Bob Weinstein and TWC SVP of Television Patrick Reardon are executive producers. They will develop the series in conjunction with Prototype’s Frank Rainone and Teresa Sorkin, who also executive produce, along with Jon Bon Jovi. The series will be produced by 3 Ball Entertainment, with CEO Todd A. Nelson and CCO Brant Pinvidic executive producing.

Said Jon Bon Jovi: “I was drawn to this project simply because it will be a celebration of the working men and women of this country. They are the real rock stars.”

Commented Weinstein: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be teaming up Jon Bon Jovi and the teams at Prototype and 3 Ball to bring If I Wasn’t a Rock Star to audiences. The series will offer music fans a chance to see their favorite stars as they’ve never imagined them before. We can’t wait to see what other amazing talent comes on board.”

Added Pinvidic, “This show not only offers a glimpse into the world of rock and roll, it gives viewers unprecedented insight into ‘the road not taken’ for some of their favorite artists. We’re thrilled to be working on this unique series with TWC, Prototype, and Jon Bon Jovi.”
