SoCal: VALENCIA Trail Race Postponed To 2022

2019 Valencia Trail Race, 10k first place female: Pamela Price

Although the recent news reports give us hope of recreational sports and outdoor activities resuming with the decrease in COVID cases, we're not in the clear.

Sadly, Terry, Jenny, Ryan, and the New Global Adventures Team announced that the 2021 VALENCIA Trail Race is postponed to 2022.

This wonderful local Souther California trail race is a favorite for weekend warriors and competitive runners.

"The last several weeks have been showing great promise with pandemic numbers dropping and vaccines rolling out. Clearly, we could see progress was being made thanks to everyone's effort to stop this pandemic, and we when heard that the State of California was going to issue an announcement for the re-opening of sports, we got super excited. We have been in regular communications with the USDA Forest Service and following Los Angeles County conditions closely, anxiously waiting for the green light to host the VALENCIA Trail Race," the statement said.

Unfortunately, "this guidance does not apply to community events, such as marathons, half-marathons, and endurance races."

The next VALENCIA Trail Race will take place next year on March 26, 2022.
