On Sunday, Quebec's Islamic Cultural Center was attacked. According to reports, six people were killed and another 18 wounded.

Several gunmen opened fire at the mosque in Québec City, Canada. The act was a “terrorist attack” according to Canada’s prime minister.

The attack took place during evening prayers on Sunday while more than 50 people were at the center.

Two men have been arrested, but police later said that only one of them was considered a suspect.

Justin Trudeau, Canada’s prime minister said, “We condemn this terrorist attack on Muslims in a centre of worship and refuge. While authorities are still investigating and details continue to be confirmed, it is heart-wrenching to see such senseless violence. Diversity is our strength, and religious tolerance is a value that we, as Canadians, hold dear.”
