102nd Rose Bowl: Stanford Beats Iowa 45-16

StanfordOn New Year's Day, the 102nd Rose Bowl game kicked off after the annual Rose Parade. 

Stanford Cardinal beat the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday with a 45-16 victory. 

 ‪#‎RoseBowl‬ Offensive Player of the Game was Christian McCaffrey and Defensive Player of the Game was Aziz Shittu.

Christian is the first player in Rose Bowl Game history to have 100+ yards in both rushing (172) and receiving (105). Aziz recorded game highs with 10 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss.

Known as the oldest of bowls, the Rose Bowl Game has kicked off myriad college football legacies. Since the first game in 1902, the game has showcased 17 Heisman Trophy Winners, produced 29 national champions, featured 199 consensus All-Americans and honored 107 college football legends by inducting them into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.
